Summer Fun with Vegetables and Kids
My vegetables are growing slowly and so far I’m happy with them. It amazes me that they have grown so much. I’ve yet to get a picture of my garden, which is something I need to do. Some days I can water and other days I send my daughter out to water the plants. The flower seeds that I planted haven’t bloomed, which I’m beginning to think they are just grass seeds. I am going to see if they will bloom, keeping my fingers crossed.
My dog mason enjoys going out when I water. He is too funny because I can leave him inside and he gives me the old puppy dog eyes, please Mom can I go outside. Being a poodle he’s a barker so I sprayed him in the butt with the hose so he would shut up. Needless to say he was quiet the rest of the time we were outside.
My daughter is enjoying her summer playing her play station and hanging out with her friends. She turned in an application to help a local daycare center. She has no idea what she’s in for, being an only child. I think its important kids volunteer to help the community, good morals makes for a good child. So, often kids think that everything should be given to them, which doesn’t happen in our household. She earns her allowance fair and square and has learned the importance of money a long time ago.

wow, i’m really envious that you have the space to garden. space is so scarce in tokyo and people don’t usually have gardens. i was thinking of planting tomatoes in small planter boxes in our balcony, but i haven’t tried it yet. hope your garden goes well
