I found a list of Famous People who have Lupus
It was interesting finding out which famous people have lupus or have died from lupus. Many of us “unknowns” feel very alone living with lupus. Maybe someone won’t feel so alone living with lupus by seeing some celebrities living with or a victim of Lupus. This is not meant to make anyone sad. It just my way of sharing LUPUS AWARENESS…

When I was able to work and visit the beauty shop each week, there was a lady whom I watch slowly deteriorate. Although I don’t remember her name, her welcoming spirit remains with me.
I watched her slowly deteriorate until she was unable to leave her home.
Upon inquiring about her, I was told that she is no longer with us.
She was my first encounter with Lupus.

My first encounter with Lupus was my hairdresser too. I had my first real haircut from Kathy when she was a young and vivacious woman. When I was in junior high school she was diagnosed with Lupus, and by the time I entered high school she could no longer stand long enough to work.
Your comment sounds so familar. I was once a physcially strong woman. Now I struggle just to get around physcially. It takes I can just to deal with the affects of this disease.

I have Lupus =)
I’ve had systemic lupus for 18 yrs, diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis when my precious son was 3. After 10 miscarriages I finally had my son born @ 7 monhs weighing less than 3 lbs. We suffered through many bouts of hospitalizations. flares which drove me to be worked up for a stem cell transplant. Throuh the prayers of my family & friends God’s grace I hope to see my son marry & see my grandchildren. God has been faithful through all the pain suffering hopelessness. He will never leave me or forsake me. If you have Lupus don’t give up a cure is on the horizon, Live ever day to the fullest & know that you are loved…

hello i know all too well about the struggles guys….we are simpatico. my prayers are with us all and i mean it!!!!!…. i have had lupus for over 20 yrs and other connective diseases i call the dressings… lol…. anyhooo i was just recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (on my birthday none the less) ….that aint no dressing…..lol. but i guess we can thank jesus for a sense of humor etc. otherwise what ….?please know i am praying…..a sister in disease(s)…. rhonda

lupus,had it since I was 20 or even younger. When was I diagnosed, not until I was almost 40. The pain never stops and most of the time is unbearable. I was fortunate and God blessed me with 5 children. Two came severely early but did live.My oldest daughter,Shelley
died at age 28 from coronary artery disease and Lupus. This was the hardest thing to deal with. Now my daughter,Kelli, is scared to be tested.I know she will give in some day, I just hope not to late. Yes, this disease just keeps on and keeps on.
I’ve had it since my early 20’s which stopped me in my tracks. I never dreamed of being sick. It sucks.
I make a research about lupus and aids… do you know someone that… have both? and stay live?
