Her attitude stunk. I'm fortunate enough to have an excellent family doc who's comfortable treating me, and so far I haven't had any serious lupus complications. I've gotten much better about setting limits, but it can be really hard with a doctor you don't know. I'm sorry you have to go so far out of your way to find a doc who can help. Stick to your guns. It's *your* body, and your doctor works for *you*, not the other way around, so the final say is yours. They most likely won't drop you if you explain your reasoning for your decisions to them.
