Green Ostrich sent me one of their LCD Boogie Writing Board. Your probably thinking what’s a Boogie Board? A surf board? No it’s not a surfboard, but it could help you hit some waves on time.
About the Boogie Board:
The Boogie Board™ tablet is an ultra 1/8-inch thin, paperless, wireless LCD writing tablet for the home, office, school, and athletic field. It fits in a purse, scheduler, briefcase or backpack. Measuring 8.8 x 5.6 inches (223.52 x 142.24 mm), it includes as much writing space as a half sheet of letter-size paper. The Boogie Board tablet weighs only 4.2 ounces. Erase your image with the touch of a button – and a friendly flash from the liquid crystal display. The Boogie Board tablet’s pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard you push – just like paper and pen. Write or draw with the included stainless steel, telescoping stylus or any other suitable instrument – even your finger. You’ll never need to search for a pen or pencil again. Writing tools that will mark or scratch the LCD, such as pens or pencils, are not recommended. The Reflex LCD technology utilized by the Boogie Board tablet is reflective. Display contrast is proportional to ambient light, so bright light offers the optimal contrast. Adults will use the Boogie Board as a phone memo pad, refrigerator notes, family game score pad, sketches, notes, diagramming sports plays, quick sports stats, memo pad, and a to do list. Kids will use the Boogie Board to practice handwriting, write spelling words, and solve math problems.
My Thoughts
A Boogie Board tablet is a writing tablet without the paper that erases with the click of a button. I love my Boogie Board Writing Tablet. I’ve been able to write sweet notes to my daughter and reminders to myself. I love to use it to remind me to take my medications in the morning or call for appointment. It’s been a real blessing. The great thing is I don’t have to waste a piece a paper every time and it lasts for six years. A lot of trees could be saved in 6 years. I plan to make a holder for my boogie board that’s similar to the ones that E-Readers are stored in. The writing tablet comes with a stylus that extends to make it larger or smaller. The only thing I don’t like about the Boogie Board is not being able to store the notes I’ve written on it. I did take a few photos of it so I could remember my notes. Just being able to store a few different memos I’ve written would help especially if I cannot find a piece of paper close by. There’s a nice black cloth that can be used to wipe of any dust that lands on the Boogie Board™ tablet. I leave mine on my coffee table or on my bed side table. I love my Boogie Board tablet. It’s nice to not waste paper for things that are disposal. Thanks Green Ostrich for a Great Product.
