This holiday season I am not going to fight all the traffic at the mall. It’s easier for me to stay and home and order my Christmas shopping online. This year is going to be hard to Christmas shopping because my daughter is at the age where you can’t buy her toys. I miss the times when I could purchase a toy and she would be happy. When she turned 13 I started letting her wear some make up. I gradually let her wear a little more make up. I don’t let her wear too much make up. I think teens should not wear too much make up because they need to show off their natural beauty. Elf is inexpensive make up my daughter wears. It only costs $1.00 per item and its well worth the price. I was surprised how good the quality. You can order it online or I have purchased it at Kmart. I plan on starting my Christmas shopping the day after thanksgiving on Black Friday. I want to make all my Christmas shopping online so I don’t have to fight the traffic in the stores and on the road. It seems like December people are in a bigger hurry. It’s nice that they offer online black Friday especially for someone dealing with the ups and downs of living with lupus and its side dishes. One trip to a store wears me out totally. It can be so discouraging when you love to shop.

Before long it will be Christmas will be here again. That means Christmas Shopping for a lot of people. A lot of people are thinking how can I afford it this year. One of the most painful things about living with a chronic illness is our endurance. We get so wore out from doing simple things such as walking or even just staying awake. This year instead of fighting the crowds in the stores shop online for Christmas. The day after Thanksgiving is blackfriday and the stores will be having great sales on a lot of items. I know this year I am going to check out Black Friday online. There is no way I am going to fight the madness at the stores. Yes I’ve thought about it, but in reality who wants to fight the craziness of people running over each just save a buck when you can shop online for all sorts of items. This year on Black Friday I am going to have buy some books. I am crazy about books. I can’t get enough of reading a lot of things. Most people don’t know that. I’ve been known to read some books I really like more then once. I know it sounds crazy, but a girls got her qualms. Alibris is one of favorite book stores because you can get some great deal over there and a large selection of books.

Living with a chronic illness it’s always nice to receive flowers. It’s nice to feel special and appreciated. It makes a bad day a good day. I think everyone loves flowers for all occasions. My mom loves to receive birthday flowers. It always lights up her face. Her favorite flowers are red roses and pink carnations. When she gets flowers she loves to dry the flowers and save them for years to come. She has a red rose that she’s kept for years. When my uncle died we sent sympathy flowers to my aunt. She appreciated the flowers. We sent her the flowers to enjoy rather then put them at grave site. It was nice for her to have to wake up in the morning with a beautiful floral arrangement. When I went to my friends wedding her wedding flowers were peach roses and babies breathe. It was a beautiful arrangement. I was impressed about how such a simple arrangement could look so beautiful. She has peach and white ribbon around the floral arrangement. In the spring, I love to look at the many colors of the flowers. One of my favorite flowers is the tulip. I like how some floral shops have such a wide variety of different colors.

One of my favorite kinds of candy is jelly beans, besides chocolate. I love how you can put the candy hand and have a large assortment of colors. Humans eat with there eyes so this great for any jelly bean lovers. I love all the jelly beans except the black ones. I don’t like them because they taste like licorice. I don’t even like black licorice. I like strawberry, and grape the best of all. I’ve been known to save Jelly beans in my freezer for months after Easter. This way I can enjoy them other then Easter. Now I can buy jelly beans year round online. You can buy jelly beans in assorted and individual flavors. If you really like jelly beans you can order them in bulk. They even have an assortment that’s just sour jelly beans. I have never tried sour jelly beans. My daughter is crazy about jelly beans too. She likes sour things so she’ll probably like sour jelly beans too. The many flavors of jelly beans really surprised me. Being able to buy individual jelly beans is a great bonus when you if you only like a few flavors. There are 30 different flavors of jelly beans.

When my daughter needed a new desk I went to the furniture store. I went to a discount furniture store to purchase the new desk. I was surprised that Ashley Furniture had such high quality products for a budget friendly price. I purchase a new desk with a hutch. It was her first new piece of furniture, so it was special to both of us. She chose a off white with flowers carved in the edging. Its been a great addition to her bedroom and has had plenty of hours of use. It still stands the test of a teenager. It’s actually a computer desk, but its worked great for what she needed. I would recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone because I know from personal experience how great quality it is.

The word of the week is expectations. I am really bad about expecting more out of myself then I can accomplishment. When I have these big expectations of myself those are the times I fall on my face the worse. Its amazes me how many times I can expect myself to do just wonderful and my lupus makes me fall right on my face.

One day I was all exciting to have a great day on an outing and the lupus knocked me down for the count. I couldn’t even make it out the door. That particularly day I stayed in bed and rested. I was really upset at myself for not making it to the get together. My expectations got the most of me. I hate when the lupus and the chronic pain does that to me.

How many times do your expectations get the best of you? And how?

This is a picture of a field near my home. You see my expectations seem to rise to the clouds when Its not being realistic……………………………………………………..
