The Pros and Cons of Snow Days
February 19th, 2010
All it has been doing is snow for t he last couple of weeks. The snow affects me by increasing my pain level. It is hard to get around with a cane and a wheel chair in the slushy snow. I fell when I was walking in the house a week ago, but I did not get hurt. My wheelchair has a mind of its own when I wheel over ice. I am counting down the days until spring.I u have a flare with the lupus every year when the seasons change. I am praying the snow and cold does not stay very long. My boy dog, Mason, loves the snow, he plows the snow with his nose. Then he comes in the house covered with snow so and we have to dry him off with a towel. Snow days have pros and cons, but to me the cons outweigh the pros.

February 16th, 2010
I have been homeschooling my daughter for the last couple of years. It was not an easy chose to home school her in the high school years, but it was the best thing for her. We usually buy most of our school supplies before public and private school kids go back to school. But some of the supplies we have to purchase throughout the year. One of them is printer ink and the other is mechanical lead for my daughter’s pencil. We have a Brother multiple function printer. It has four different cartridges for the printer which is supposed to save you money by only replacing the ink you need, but I am not sure if it really does save money. It seems like we run out of black ink at the same time as the other cartridges. I think if I replace the printer I will check into a Dell printer because I can find cheap Dell printer cartridges. I’d like a dell printer because I recently got a Dell computer for Christmas. It was a great gift because my old computer had seen better days. My daughter prints a lot of her school work so I cannot wait for the ink to arrive in the mail. But I am thinking about buying the ink now so I will have the ink for the future.

Hello readers,
I have been having major issues with my blog not from my own doing. There is a bug running around that attacks your header, so make sure your permissions are set correctly and only the file information you put into the header. It is a really nasty bug that may require you importing your entire blog and your php admin. It is not an easy fix either. I had to put an entire new wordpress file and re-upload your wordpress files. Make sure you look at wordpress.org on how to do it all
it will be fixed really soon.

February 1st, 2010
A friend of mine was having a lot trouble keeping on her feet after a divorce. She fought to keep her house during the divorce, but she had to let the house go because she could not afford to take care of the house and her son. She lost her job and it took her over 6 months to find a job. Meanwhile, she put in over 50 applications for a job. During the time she lived off her credit cards and living with a friend. She had to turn off her water and electricity because of not having enough money to pay the bills. She lived on her friend’s sofa bed while her son stayed with a family member. It was a rough time in her life. She had to use her credit card to pay her car payment which has caused her to be in debt. I have talked to her about calling a debt consolidation firm, but her pride just will not let her. I have tried telling her it is not the same as filing bankruptcy. I told her at least give them a call and she might be surprised how helpful the company will be for her. I have had to deal with a debt consolation company to get me out of debt. I was pleased with the help.

All I wanted to do was sleep but the pain made that near impossible.

January 22nd, 2010
Going on a diet is not an easy thing to do no matter how much weight you want to lose or how many times you have tried to lose the weight. Most people I know set their selves up for failure before they start a diet. Let’s say someone wants to lose 50 pounds by summer so they can wear that favorite bikini. If they get half way through the process and they cannot get past losing that last 30 pounds. It would be easy to give up on dieting and gain those 20 pounds back they have worked so hard to lose. Most of us want to have things right now and it is extremely hard to be patient about our weight loss. It is easier to feel like a failure then feel like a success. One step you could take to lose the weight is start on that diet right after summer so it may be a more realistic goal. It is important to remember even if you do not lose all the weight right now you’re still a success. It might be an important step to talk with other people who have the same goals for weight loss. A diet detective may be able to tell you what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong when you are trying to lose weight.
