Buying Furniture for Kids

August 28th, 2008 -- Posted in Misc, shopping | 1 Comment »

When my daughter needed a new desk I went to the furniture store. I went to a discount furniture store to purchase the new desk. I was surprised that Ashley Furniture had such high quality products for a budget friendly price. I purchase a new desk with a hutch. It was her first new piece of furniture, so it was special to both of us. She chose a off white with flowers carved in the edging. Its been a great addition to her bedroom and has had plenty of hours of use. It still stands the test of a teenager. It’s actually a computer desk, but its worked great for what she needed. I would recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone because I know from personal experience how great quality it is.

Rant About Darn Pharmacy and Doctor’s Hours

August 28th, 2008 -- Posted in Lupus Rant | No Comments »

Well I’m on another rant today. I get up feel half way good then boom afternoon comes and I totally feel really yucky. It don’t help that I ran out of one of my medications because I thought it had a refill because the bottle had a refill and then the insurance company made the pharmacy call my rheumatologist. When n they are only around one time a week it makes it difficult to get medications refilled. SO my advice to you all just cause you got one refill don’t always mean you really want it cause the pharmacies/insurance companies can’t count. Its frustrating because I feel like I’m starting from scratch with my medication for nerve damage. It’s the one medication that keeps me from going out of my mind with the pain. Yes, I’m ranting, but if I don’t It wouldn’t be my page.

Chosing a Website package

Top 10webhosting.com is a great website for comparing best web hosting services . They rank sites according to ranks of services offered. They have plans that include hosting companies’ plans that support unlimited domains, unlimited disk space, php5 web hosting, my SQL, Perl, and many other features. They even have plans that accept PayPal for an added bonus. The Top 10 web hosting has a great way to compare hosting companies before you purchase your next domain name. There are some plans that offer unlimited email accounts. When I purchased my hosting plan a list like this would be an easy way to comparison shop before I bought service.

Another Day of Homeschooling, Link Exchange,

August 27th, 2008 -- Posted in Life with Lupus, homeschooling | No Comments »

Well, today we had another adventure in life. I’m still ajusting to teaching my daughter at home. Its been an opstacle with my daughter because she doesn’t retain what she’s learned for long. Each day I would have to reteach what they taught her in school. So I may as well teach her. She knows things untill she goes away from them.

Well tonight I feel icky.  I think its either burn out, weather, or the upcoming change of seasons. I always have a hard time transitions into the seasons. I hope people will understand it takes me time to get to things such as adding links. Sometimes all I can do is get through typing a little. So please anyone who asks  me to link up leave me a comment under my posts, as the shout board rotates and poof its gone. if I don’t get right back to you.  Thank you all that read my words of ups and downs of dealing with lupus, chronic pain, and fibromyalgia.

My Beautiful Crystal Necklace

August 26th, 2008 -- Posted in shopping | 2 Comments »

One of my favorite pieces when I was teenager was a Crystal Necklace with my initials on it. I really liked it alot because it sparkled in the sun and changed to a rainbow of colors. I use to get all sorts of complaiments on it. The necklace was on a sterling silver chain. It was as close to a diamond I would get as a teenager. I still enjoy looking at crystal Crystal Jewellery and even have a pendent that sparkles in the sun.

The Word of the Week is Expectation

August 26th, 2008 -- Posted in Life with Lupus, Word Of The Week, shopping | 6 Comments »

The word of the week is expectations. I am really bad about expecting more out of myself then I can accomplishment. When I have these big expectations of myself those are the times I fall on my face the worse. Its amazes me how many times I can expect myself to do just wonderful and my lupus makes me fall right on my face.

One day I was all exciting to have a great day on an outing and the lupus knocked me down for the count. I couldn’t even make it out the door. That particularly day I stayed in bed and rested. I was really upset at myself for not making it to the get together. My expectations got the most of me. I hate when the lupus and the chronic pain does that to me.

How many times do your expectations get the best of you? And how?

This is a picture of a field near my home. You see my expectations seem to rise to the clouds when Its not being realistic……………………………………………………..

My Phone Calls to France

August 26th, 2008 -- Posted in Misc | 2 Comments »

When my father moved from England to France it started costing me more money to call him. I used to pay a monthly fee just to be able to call him. Its amazing how much it costs to call international calls has skyrocketed. I recently canceled this because it ended up costing me more money then the actual phone call, as I only talk to him every two weeks. In the past I would let him call me because of my limited budget. Now I can call him on my France phone cards. In the past, I would check to make sure I wasn’t calling in peak hours so it would not cost me an arm and leg. Now I get the same rate no matter what time of the day. Using a phone card saves me money and I can use the phone card on any phone or even on my cell phone. I ordered my new phone cards from Get Me Calling Cards. Get Me calling cards has phone cards for all over the world.

Insomnia and Homeschooling

August 26th, 2008 -- Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments »

Well today we had our 2nd day of homeschooling. It turned out to be pretty intreasting. My daughter can be really emotional. She was mad because she got a bad grade. The tears were flying. The mom in me wanted to cave, but I am not being fair to her. So we survived day 2 just to start feeling like yuck. Its not easy getting up early when you have insomnia. I am bound and determined that we will survive.
