Since I have been dealing with the lupus I have struggled to figure out what is the point of sickness. I think the biggest thing it has given me is the ability to appreciate the small things in life. Every day I see my daughter smile there is no amount of money that could take the place of her smile every morning. Her love is like the rivers it over flows to me and my family. It is not many times when a teenager is so beautiful both inside and out. Plus shows everyone she touches such love.

So many people are finding their selves in a long line at the unemployment center and feel like the floor is falling out from underneath them. An online college degree just might be the advancement they need today. A Online Colleges would be an excellent way to be competitive at work. It might be the time to get the online colleges degrees you have been dreaming of for years. But you will still need to find that job to feed your family, but you will have something to look forward to when you get up in the morning to search for a job. The great thing about an online college degree is the class time is flexible. I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason even though I have yet to figure out what the reason is for getting sick. It has taken a lot of soul searching, but I have learned a lot about myself. While I was in school the teacher’s criticized my stories and writing. By being sick I have found a new found love in writing, although I have yet to figure out what kind of online college degree I would like to pursue. It just might be what I need to follow my own dream, but I always go back to, but I am sick. I will always have lupus, but I am working on not letting lupus have me.

This weeks question is:
What do you want to be able to do on your computer?
Finishing my writings before midnight without being discouraged like I have been the last couple of days
What else do you want this week? Share it all.
I am waiting for a big delievery and I cannnot contain myself waiting for its arrival. I have to remember patience is a virtual even if it hard to do. I want to stay warm and not fall in the snow and ice while it is melting. That’s about it for now. Have a great day.

I worked for a Skilled Nursing facility for years as a nursing assistant. Some days were better than others when I worked at the Housing For Seniors. At times it was hard to comfort my residents who were struggling with losing their independence. We attempted to make the environment a home like place so they would not feel so alone. When the family members came to visit we attempted to console them as well. On the Medicare unit sometimes the residents would go home that was always nice to see. If they were not able to go home some of them went to an Assisted Living Facilities. Even though the assisted living facility was not home at least it was more comforting to the resident. The emotional impact that moving into a nursing home or assisted living facility has on the residents can be overwhelming at times. I enjoyed trying to comfort the residents at the facility everyday when I worked at their. It was always nice to see the residents light up when they saw when walking around the corner or say they were happy to see me that day. I tried to show them lots of love when I did my job. It is not every day you hear a nursing assistant say she loved her job.

1. There are places to go and people to see ever day.
2. Something people say blow those clouds away.
3. Standing in the middle of a busy highway is not something I would like to do.
4. Somethings I hear I want to say oh boy.
5. He went out tiger hunting but he never found one.
6. Sometimes it is hard to keep my mind from wandering .
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to no snow, tomorrow my plans include staying warm inside with hot chocolate and Sunday, I want to dream a little about the future!

For Christmas my daughter got a Nintendo WII and she likes to play the boxing on one of the sport game. The first time she played the game she was sweating from the workout. We have watched a few boxing matches on television over the years, but we do not have Mayweather versus Pacquiao tickets. She thinks that Mayweather will win the match on March 13, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has enjoyed watching boxing even though she is a girly girl all the way. As a child, I use to watch wrestling so I guess she comes by it naturally. Its fun watching all the action involved with boxing and wrestling.

Dealing with the cold weather with a chronic illness is not an easy thing. I have found from years of experience that if I am warm it is not so hard on me. I have done a lot of experimenting to keep myself warm during the cold weather. I live with my heating pad all the time anyway so I use it to keep warm in the winter and sometimes the fall. I have learned that it is better to dress in layers when I am inside and out. I usually wear double pairs of socks at times when my feet get chilled. Today I received a package from my father with a couple pairs of legwarmers. Even though we have cold weather they do not carry them in the stores here. They are important to me because I get a small chill and my legs are hurting me a lot. So I am thankful to have two pairs of leg warmers for my legs. For those of you who do not know what leg warmers are they cover up your legs from ankles to right below your knees.

A distant friend who was moving from one town to another used a moving van to move instead of hiring a moving company and she regretted it. Her Mom tried to talk her into hiring a moving company for the move, but she refused. She was afraid that some of her belongings would be broken or stolen so she did herself. She took her time packing all her belongings to prevent breakage. She did okay loading the moving van up because she had some help from a friend. Once she reached her new home barely got the boxes off the moving van. She was fortunate that a couple of guys walked by and carried the furniture in the house after she paid them twenty bucks. The guys banged up a few pieces of her furniture which upset her a lot. She was happy at her new place until she realized that how much work it is taking care of a yard. She really wanted a garden to eat off of the land. Her mother suggested she purchase a condo, but she wanted a small garden. Since moving into the house she found a nice condo with a small yard she could have a garden. At the time of the last move she found out that some moving companies offer insurance to help replace the items. Some moving companies offer 3 types of services for moving. They will pack your belongings, load them on the truck and unload the truck at your new home. If you pack your own belongs you might want to get some replacement insurance from your homeowners insurance. If something is broken or stolen they will not pay you as much money back on your losses.

Last week, I had a tooth pulled which has been in the works for the last couple of months. I was supposed to have the tooth pulled back in November, but I was sick with an upper respiratory infection. The last thing someone with lupus needs to do is have a tooth pulled out when their immune system is low anyways. So I had to cancel the appointment the day before. It took a lot of nerve for me to go to a dentist at all. It took me over 15 years (yes, you read it right.) to get the guts to have the tooth pulled. Back when I was pregnant with my daughter I had a filling done and the filling did not stay. If I knew then that I had a vitamin D deficiency it would have explained to me why my teeth kept on chipping and I was drinking at least a gallon of milk while I was pregnant with my daughter. Really, it should have been a light bulb moment for my doctor, but he probably figured it was just another crazy pregnancy craving. I could not get enough milk throughout my pregnancy, but I could not drink any juice at all. If I could go back I would have gone back to the dentist to get the tooth filled again or pulled earlier. If you have had a molar pulled you know what I mean. I thought I was going to lose my mind while the dentist was trying to yank this tooth out of my mouth. On top of that I started feeling the pain from the actual scalpel (not sure if that is what a dentist uses to cut around a tooth.) cutting into my gums. She would have numbed it again, but I was afraid I would chicken out when she returned. It took all I could to finish the extraction. I held onto the side of my pants and the chair to refocus my mind. I was told to try to refocus my mind on the music playing, but who can hear any music over the suction machine. I was concerned about having an excessive amount of bleeding because I have a platelet deficiency. So I had good reason to be concerned. In my next post I’ll share ways to find dental service less expensive. I need to have some fillings done next time I see the dentist. I am hoping she will do them all at the same time. I need to buy a splint for my TMJ, but I am not sure if I will be able to afford to buy a new one. I have to have an exam from a new dentist, fitted with the splint, and purchase a new splint. My mouth is beginning to feel better now, but my TMJ is still in an uproar.

Weddings are the times when families join together. No matter what the families are forever intertwined. Deciding on a wedding gift does not have to be an impossible task. Buying something to decorate the newlyweds’ home is an option. Some couples are hard to buy for so a grandfather clock may be the best wedding gift. The Howard Le Rose Floor clock has multiple functions. It is a grandfather clock plus it has three shelves to display those figurines that you want to display, but do not have a place for them. The grandfather clocks
is a dark wood with a ivory face and black roman numbers. The shelves on the clock are easy to adjust. You can listen to the chimes of the clock to pick your favorite chime for your clock. You can chose from 2 different styles of chimes. Four of them are Westminster clock chimes and one of them is Ava Maria Clock Chime. My favorite one is the Ava Maria chime. You can set the clock up so it will not chime at night, which is great for those who wake easily. Any newlywed couple would love to place a new grandfather clock in their home. Chances are it will become a family heirloom for years to come.
