Showing Off Your Creative Side in the Mail

August 21st, 2009

I was looking for new return address labels last year, but I could not find any that really showed off my creativity. What I really wanted was something with animals, kids, or flowers. I did find a few I liked at 123print that showed my creativity and inner child all in one. When I run out of my I will buy some new ones to put a smile on some else’s face. I bookmarked the site so I’ll remember to go back to it. I’ve always had a weakness for abstract art, kids and animals, so I’ll probably chose one of them. It will be difficult to choose just one because they have such a large assortment. I might purchase a couple of them so I have an assortment of labels.

Kids and Impulses

January 22nd, 2009

Monday I was really irritated with my daughter. I use a lap top for the computer as my feet swell a lot. Well she gets fixated on a certain thing and will not give up. This time it was a small crumb of something beside one of keys on my laptop. Well without my permission she tried to get this out and tore of my up arrow of my keyboard. So I was not very happy with her, but I did get over it after a while. I know have the key tapped on my keyboard as I don’t know how to put a key back on my laptop. Kids do the darnedest things. Needless to say she got a lecture on thinking before she reacts. It gets her in trouble at times.

Holiday Planning Time

December 6th, 2008

Christmas is right around the corner for a lot of people. Deciding on what Christmas food to serve is on a lot of people’s minds. Living with lupus I am limited with the amount of things I can do during the holidays. I have to decide what things I can do and what things I can’t do. If you have a big family it can be fun doing some family projects together. Some families like to build snow men in the back yard or doing art projects together. It can be difficult finding things to pass the time when kids get bored. Celebrations offer a whole bunch of ideas of what to do during the holidays. They show you how to make snowman out of marshmallows. This can be a fun project for even the littlest ones in your family. The site shows a step by step explanation on how to create many different fun things to do for big and little kids of all ages.

Buying a New Vehicle

November 22nd, 2008

Deciding which vehicle to purchase on a car lot is a very difficult decision. The most important thing to consider is the monthly payment and how much money you have as a down payment. Then there is the tag and insurance for the vehicle. My last vehicle was a SUV. I really liked my SUV because it had plenty of room in it. This was important because my daughter was small and I use to take her bicycle with us a lot. We use to enjoy going to park together for bicycle rides. It was very easy to put all her stuff in the back of the SUV. The space inside the SUV is something I miss a lot. It’s nice to have them to travel also. The Ford Expedition is a nice SUV. It has a lot more space inside then my old SUV. The amounts of functions inside the ford expedition are very nice. The leather interior is kid friendly which makes for easy clean up. This SUV really has a lot of great features. When I had my SUV I liked being able to see over the other cars in front of me. This was really helpful when I was stuck in a traffic jam on the way home. I really miss having a vehicle that had plenty of space inside for traveling.

The Importance of Health Insurance

November 14th, 2008

When my daughter was a toddler I had to purchase health insurance for her. She has asthma and ear problems so I had to pay extra for her health insurance. It was important to have insurance because she was sick all the time. I spent many sleepless nights sitting up with her when she was sick. It was enough being a young mother without having a sick child. I shopped around for a long time trying to find health insurance. A lot of plans were too expensive for my budget. It would have been nice to have the internet so that I could shop around for health insurance. I had to call around for quotes to many different insurance companies. At Kaiser health Insurance company  you can apply for insurance online and get quotes. They have insurance plans for California and Georgia. It’s easy to apply and it saves time from having to call on the phone to an agent. They have a toll free number so you can call if you have any questions. The website is easy to navigate and has an in depth frequently asked questions section. I know this would have made my life easier buying health insurance. If you have health insurance it can save you possibly thousands of dollars

Benefits of Exercise with Chronic Illness

October 19th, 2008

I have read a lot about the importance of exercise while living with a chronic illness. The amount of exercise you can do depends on your mobility. It can be very hard to exercise when you are in pain. Yoga has helped a lot of people with chronic illness get the proper kind of exercise. It’s also considered a low impact exercise so it’s not so hard on those muscles and tendons. Move, Fitness and Dance for life offers classes in Arizona for kids and adults. They have different classes for your individual needs depending on your interests. They have a lot of fitness classes including dance, yoga, mommy and me, and many more. When I was a teenager I took ballet and jazz lessons. I always loved putting on my pink ballet shoes and black jazz shoes. It taught me to be flexible and a lot of great dance moves. I can remember doing dance recitals in front of family and friends. I can still remember some of my dance moves today. A Phoenix personal trainer specialist can help you set up an exercise program. Having someone work with you one on one helps you get started in your new form of exercise. If you’re not ready for exercise you can help your kids by helping them get off the coach and exercise. Too many kids don’t exercise enough.

Growing Pains

February 13th, 2008

Seems to me our lives have a mind of there own,It’s a lot like watching a two year old, full of energy. They never seem to know when to stop. They have as much of a mind of their own as life does. I can remember when my daughter was only two years old she loved to control the whole situation. In all honesty she did a real good job at doing it. She was definitely a little fire ball. She could throw a fit well with all of them. Even then she did a real good job at fooling the public and my family. I have to admit I am hard on her, but I think its helped. She’s an honor student working hard each day. She does struggle with reading, but doesn’t everyone struggle with something.

She’s now a teenager, soon to be a freshmen this coming  August. In all honesty it scares the hell out of me. Most parents look forward to there kids getting older. I have mixed emotions about that. Part of me wants her to grow up, part of me wants her to stay at this age. Kids seem to grow up so fast, you know. All I can hope and pray is that she will do well in life. Isn’t that all we can expect?
