The Benefits of Lavender for a Chronic Illiness

October 17th, 2008

Having a chronic illness I have struggled to find something to find a scent that helps with the aches and pains I deal with everyday. I started searching the internet to find something natural to help. I found out that lavender has a lot of calming qualities to sooth achy muscles and to help with your mood. I started out with lotions infused with lavender. I quickly learned of the many benefits of lavender. I have lavender lotions, candles, body wash and a body spray in my collection. I did try to grow a lavender plant a couple years in a row. One year the seeds did not grow and the next year the plant did not grow. I like to burn my lavender candle in the evening because that’s the time of night when my pain level is the highest. Scentsy has a lot of candle and candle holders to enjoy in your home. My favorite candle of course is lavender. I like to buy different candle holders for different times of the year. For fall I like fall colors and spring for spring colors. It’s been very helpful in dealing with the many ups and down of living with a chronic illness.

Scentsy also offers a ’scent of the month’ which is a unique scent released on a specific month. Some of my favorites are cinnamon cider, skinny dip, and coconut!

Lavender is one of my mom’s favorite scents as well, for the very reasons listed above.

    Scentsy,

lavender has so many benefits. We used it at the nursing home to calm Alzheimer patients and it did help some. Every little bit helps.
