I had an old futon mattress that had seen better days, but I couldn't afford a new bed. I got a thick pad of memory foam (they are much cheaper from a "foam and fabric" type store) cut to my mattress size and put it under the mattress pad and sheet. It made such a difference! No where near as good as my (finally) new bed -- but it really helped me get through. Hope this suggestion can work for you. All the best. When my father was ill they wanted to have one set up in their home because he refused to go to a hospice. They are apparently very effective for anyone with any type of chronic pain:) If you have any type of disorder or chronic pain...I am almost certain that there are funds that are available to help support your needs.
