June 11th, 2008Flood Waters are Rising

These are pictures of the flood water close to my home

This is a picture of where the flood waters were rising close to my home. The flood waters were so close that they almost had to turn off the power because the generators are underground.

This picture is where there is at least a 10 foot drop off.

Picture of a park that is flooded on a regular basis. The building is a restroom. Sometimes people are seen walking in the water. There are light posts in this park that the water rises almost to the top of the posts.

Flood waters rising towards someones home, usually there is no water here.

I’ve had my fair share of tornado warnings, flooding, thunderstorms, close call fires and hail. Nothing like fire, ice, and water all in the span of 2 weeks. Thankfully the water receded the next day or we would have been without power.

Sunflower Potted Garden 2007

This is a picture of my sunflower potted garden. I created the garden last spring/summer. The sunflowers were planted in pots so that I could have a garden. Being creative while living with lupus can be tough-But a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do. This year will prove to be another struggle to have a garden, but time will show my creative side. Living Life with lupus the best way I know how.

They give lots of great  puppy dog  kisses. The black and white dog is a shih tzu named Darcy and The white dog is named Mason, whose a Maltese poodle. They have an extraspecial place in my heart. They both love me unconditional and can’t ask for two better doggies. More pictures to come.

Mason is enjoying a snooze in his favorite bean bag chair, which he stole from my daughter.

Darcy sleeping next to Mason in her beloved royal blue coat.
