Cheap Insurance Miami

October 10th, 2010

When I lived in Florida it wasn’t easy finding cheap car insurance anywhere. To most insurance companies it didn’t matter that I had a good driving record for years. They were going by my age, so I couldn’t afford full coverage insurance on my car. I could only afford the state required policy. I had to go without much needed coverage in order to feed my child and get to work. I shopped around to several place and the difference in prices was shocking. One place may say 300.00 dollars while another would say 150 for the same coverage. It didn’t make any sense to me until I realized I had deductibles for my auto insurance. I was a naive twenty something.  One policy required a 500 dollar deductible for any claims while the other required a 2000.00 dollar deductible. Another policy had more coverage for medical than anything else.  I had to ask a family member for help understanding the auto insurance policy.  The one with the 2000 dollar deductible could have easily ruined me. Once I realized what the companies were doing I changed my policy and picked up a few extra hours at work. If I lived in Miami I may have been able to get cheap insurance Miami. I learned a great lesson about reading all the details of any important paper the hard way. Shortly after I changed my policy I got into a small car accident. It wasn’t my fault so I didn’t have to pay the deductible, but it could have been me paying the 2000 deductible for a simple fender bender I would have lost all I had saved for a rainy day. Since I live in another state my insurance isn’t as high as the policy in Florida and I’m thankful for that. I don’t know the cost of a policy today.

What’s All the Hair About?

May 7th, 2010

I could write a book about bad hair styles because I was raised around several hairdressers and spent hours sitting at the hair salon watch people transformed before my eyes. The clients didn’t leave with the bad hair styles unless they insisted on an out of the ordinary hair style. When I sat in the receptionist desk waiting for the phone to ring, I saw quite a few people chose hair styles I would never dream of doing with my own hair. Another words what one person does with their hair doesn’t mean it is a bad hair style. Some people don’t do any Hair Care tact. It would be a boring world if we all had the same hair style. It would be too much like the Stepford wives or husbands. That is too creepy for me.  I prefer to have my hair just above the shoulder because it is cooler and easier to style and my hair frosted with the color caramel. I need to color it again, just have been too sick to bother with coloring my hair or just too busy with doctors appointments. Either way I need to color my hair because it helps me feel better about myself. A woman’s hair style and color is important to feel good about yourself both inside and outside.

Surgery Count Down

May 7th, 2010

I’ve been absent a lot lately because I’m dealing with several medical problems. I found out a few weeks ago that I need my gallbladder out. Typically it is a routine surgery, but lupus and a bleeding problem I have will complicate the whole procedure. It would be easier to avoid taking the gallbladder out, but you can end up with severe complications if it bursts. My surgery is Monday so please any good thoughts or prayer would be appreciated. Thanks for stopping by. If you like here’s a video of a gallbladder surgery and more information.

Finding Your Speck of Light

February 24th, 2010

Depression is the number one mental illness in the United States. Everyone suffers from the blues atleast once in their life. Since living with lupus it’s been a struggle to  avoid depression. During the first few years of my illness I went through a time of deep depression. I felt like the world had ended. I had given up on life. I just went through the motions of life rather then pulling my self together and accepting it as another one of those opstacles in life. It took me years to get to the point where the depression does not affect me as much. I still do struggle with depression every day. It’s heard getting up each day when your in pain almost constant. It would be easier to just sink back in to depression.  At the time, I felt like I was the only one dealing with the pain. In reality I did know other people suffered from chronic pain, but at the time I felt like the pain had stolen all my hopes and dreams. I’m realising now that I can over come things even if I live in pain every single day of my life. I pray eacch day for it to disapper in the sunset and wonder why I got ‘blessed’ with chronic pain and lupus.

For anyone dealing with chronic illness hold your head up high and smile beccause their’s always light at the end of the tunnel even if it’s just a speck of light. Have a great day and pray your pain will be reduced.

Having Issues with Blog

February 14th, 2010

Hello readers,

I have been having major issues with my blog not from my own doing. There is a bug running around that attacks your header, so make sure your permissions are set correctly and only the file information you put into the header. It is a really nasty bug that may require you importing your entire blog and your php admin. It is not an easy fix either. I had to put an entire new wordpress file and re-upload your wordpress files. Make sure you look at wordpress.org on how to do it all

it will be fixed really soon.
